Participants: 2…5-member teams.
Format: It is possible to compete in either 8-hour or 4-hour course.
Course: There are 45 checkpoints, maximum 170 points from visiting them all.
Event map: Scale 1 : 30000, h = 5 m, an orienteering map with simplified symbols.

Event Centre: Kuusalu school, Vana-Narva mnt 28, Kuusalu, Harju county (GPS: 59.451, 25.417).
Rules:
- The object of the competition is to score points by finding checkpoints located on the competition terrain.
- The value of the checkpoints varies, depending on the difficulty-distance from the event centre, from 2 to 6, and is equal to the decimal place of the checkpoint number.
- Checkpoints may be visited in any order (score orienteering).
- 8-hour rogaine has the following competition classes:
Class Description NN women MM men MN men and women NN45 women, aged 45 or over MM45 men, aged 45 or over MN45 men and women, aged 45 or over NN55 women, aged 55 or over MM55 men, aged 55 or over MN55 men and women, aged 55 or over Family family members from at least two different generations, no age limit - 4-hour rogaine has the following competition classes:
Class Description JJ18 irrespective of gender, up to 18 years of age UV65 irrespective of gender, aged 65 or over Family18 family members from at least two different generations, at least one member under 18 years of age Open all other men and women - The SPORTident electronic punching system will be used for recording visits to the checkpoints.
- All members of the team (with the exception of children under 6 years of age) shall use an SI-card attached with a non-removable wristband.
- Competitors may use their own SI-card or rent it from the organiser.
- To gain points for a checkpoint all members of the team shall record a visit to that checkpoint by punching the SI-station within the time limit of 60 seconds.
- In the event of malfunction of the SI-station or any doubt of malfunction, the event map margin shall be punched with the manual punch at the checkpoint marker.
- A team’s score shall be the value of the checkpoints visited less penalties. Late returns are penalised by deducting points: up to 1 minute — 1 point, for exceeding each next full minute — 1 point. Teams finishing more than 30 minutes late shall be deemed ineligible for a placing.
- The team with the greater score, or in the event of a tie, the team which finished earlier, shall be awarded the higher placing.
- The team finish time is the latest time recorded by any team member at the finish.
- Competitors shall not deliberately rest within sight of a checkpoint.
- The only navigational aids that may be carried on the course are maps provided by the organiser, magnetic compasses and watches. The use of any other navigational aids and programmable computerised devices is prohibited.
- If one or more members of the team want to retire from the course, the whole team must return to the event centre and they are deemed to have finished. Those members of the team who want to continue can re-register as a new team, whereas the points scored for so far visited checkpoints are not counted.
- Entering the out-of-bounds areas (marked with purple vertical stripes on the map), and also the yards of farmsteads and settlements (marked with blocks of solid olive green colouring) is prohibited!
Breach of rules: In case entering any kind of out-of-bounds area has been registered, the team shall be disqualified.
Protests: Protests against a breach of rules and explanations about actions on the course can be submitted to the organiser within 30 minutes of the nominated finish time.

Entry fees: Entry fee for a team is the sum of entry fees for individual team members.

The event fee includes participation in the competition, event map, wristband for SI-card, catering, EOF calendar fee, and parking.
Rental of SI-card 3 €. The wish to rent a SI-card must be indicated during the registration and the rental fee shall be paid with the entry fee. In the event the rented SI-card is lost or broken, a compensation of 70 € will be charged.
The entry fee shall be paid by bank transfer using the following credentials: TA Orienteerumisklubi, IBAN: EE57 2200 0011 2006 6509 in Swedbank (Tallinn, Estonia), BIC: HABAEE2X. Please bring the receipt with you. Note: All transaction costs shall be paid by the remitter! Please include the keyword ROGAIN, the registration ID of the team and the competitors’ names in the details of your payment. The team is counted as registered when the organiser has received the event fee.
It is also possible to pay using the Stebby environment.
In case of non-participation of a registered team the event fee shall not be reimbursed.
Age limit: All competitors must be at least 15 years of age (except in family class).
Changes:
Any changes in team composition shall be notified by e-mail to reg(at)rogain.ee
It is not permitted to add new teams since 29.09.
It is allowed to change the class, number and names of team members until 5 p.m. on 1 October.
After 1 October, you can, by way of exception, make changes in the morning of the competition, during the materials delivery, as follows: replace a team member — 1 €.
Prizes: Three best teams of competition classes shall be awarded a prize. In case four or less teams have registered in a competition class only the best team will be awarded a prize.
Teams are deemed to compete in every class for which they are eligible.
In the family class of the 8-hour rogaine, prizes are given to:
- the best team with all male members,
- the best team with all female members,
- the best team with members from both genders.
